A classic Faithless record has returned to the centre of the techno conversation.

Adam Beyer’s remix of “We Come 1” currently occupies the No. 1 position in Beatport’s Techno (Peak Time / Driving) Top 100.

Released September 25 through Drumcode, the remix runs at 134 BPM and places one of electronic music’s most recognizable names at the top of a contemporary techno ranking.

The Drumcode presence continues immediately afterwards. Kaufmann (DE) sits at No. 2 with “Easy A”, a 130 BPM production released on September 18.

Charlotte de Witte and Theo Nasa follow with “The Resistance”, released through KNTXT on September 24. At 142 BPM, it brings a considerably faster energy into the leading positions.

Faithless appear once again at No. 4, this time with KASIA’s remix of “Tarantula”, another Drumcode release.

A.D.H.S. and Kos complete the current Top 5 with “Taste of the Night”, also on Drumcode.

Charlotte de Witte remains present at No. 6 with “Another Place”, while Marie Vaunt and Space 92 follow with “Go Go Go”, a 145 BPM Peak Time record released through TAKEOFF.

What immediately stands out from the current ranking is Drumcode’s concentration near the top. The label is responsible for several of the tracks occupying the first five positions.

At the same time, KNTXT and TAKEOFF ensure that the leading section is not stylistically uniform, with tempos ranging from 130 BPM into significantly faster territory.

The first Beatport Techno snapshot of October therefore combines heritage, major contemporary techno artists and a clear appetite for high-impact club material.
