One of October’s biggest club collaborations has already reached the top of Beatport.
“DANGER DANGER” by Solomun, Skepta and Dom Dolla currently holds the No. 1 position in the Tech House chart after being released only days ago.
The record arrived on October 2 through Three Six Zero Recordings and runs at 130 BPM.
Its immediate success gives Beatport a particularly interesting No. 1.
Solomun and Dom Dolla are two major figures from different areas of electronic music, while Skepta brings a completely different musical background into the collaboration.
That crossover has quickly translated into chart momentum.
RSquared currently follows with “Ooo La La”, while “Free Your Mind” by Sybil, Cloonee and Prospa remains one of the strongest tracks in the ranking.
James Hype and Volkoder are still inside the leading group with “1,2,3 Extended”.
Mark Knight, DJ PP and James Hurr also continue their strong run with “Miami Vice”, while CAMELPHAT and Cloonee remain close behind.
What is happening at the top of Beatport Tech House is a good example of how quickly the chart can move.
Only a few days ago other tracks were controlling the highest positions.
Now a brand-new collaboration has overtaken them.
The question is whether “DANGER DANGER” will prove to be a short, explosive chart entry or develop the staying power shown by some of the records directly underneath it.
For now, one thing is clear.
Solomun, Skepta and Dom Dolla own the No. 1 spot.
