Drumcode is currently dominating Beatport’s Techno Peak Time chart in extraordinary fashion.
The label occupies all four of the first positions, creating one of the strongest displays of chart control in electronic music this week.
At No. 1 is Faithless with Adam Beyer’s remix of “We Come 1”.
Released on September 25, the 134 BPM rework brings a classic electronic record into a contemporary Peak Time Techno context.
Faithless appear again immediately at No. 2.
This time “Tarantula” has been reworked by KASIA, giving Drumcode another major remix inside the top positions.
A.D.H.S. and Kos take third place with “Taste of the Night”.
Kaufmann (DE) completes the label’s complete control of the Top 4 with “Easy A”.
Only in fifth position does another imprint finally appear.
Charlotte de Witte and Theo Nasa hold that spot with “The Resistance”, released through KNTXT and running at 142 BPM.
Victor Ruiz, Liquid Soul and Captain Hook follow with the Victor Ruiz remix of “Liquid Hook”, while Marie Vaunt and Space 92 remain another important presence with “Go Go Go”.
The ranking also highlights the increasing tempo range inside Peak Time Techno.
Productions around 130 BPM are sitting alongside tracks pushing into 142 and 145 BPM territory.
That variety shows how wide the definition of Peak Time Techno has become.
But this week the bigger story belongs to Drumcode.
Holding the first four positions of Beatport’s chart gives the label a level of visibility few imprints can currently match.
